Mission Statement
â›°.S.C.E.N.T. (Advancing Strong Curiosity and Exploration in New Thinkers) is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering a lifelong passion for learning in future generations (k-6). Founded by Ezekiel Gonzalez, and co-founded by Andy Chau and Rodolfo Castellon, our mission spans diverse fields; from medicine and engineering to creative writing. By cultivating curiosity and academic excellence, hands-on, we aim to connect to, inspire, and open doors equally for all children! By first helping students find what sparks their curiosity, we can teach them and help them explore their passions early, promoting a better future for not only the next generation but for all! Join us as we advance learning and exploration for the leaders of tomorrow!
Our Motivation
Did you know that after years of stability, children’s attention spans, grades, and interest in learning have begun to plummet? This trend isn’t due to a lack of technology or capability—it stems from young students struggling to discover their true passion, often losing themselves in games and phones as they search for a purpose. At â›°SCENT Club, we aim to ignite that passion through engaging activities in English, Math, Physics, Computers, and more. Our mission is not only to set students on a path to success but to empower them with joy and fulfillment every step of the way.
How We Work
We will visit elementary schools near all of our chapters! Students will engage in hands-on activities to discover what they like! Then, students will be able to explore what they found the most interesting via hands-on fun (with pizza) workshops on various fun subjects (flyers will be sent home) hosted by the A.S.C.E.N.T. nonprofit!
Join us on this journey as we elevate and inspire the leaders of tomorrow!
