These are the predicted costs and profits for the 2025-2026 school year (below). We are thinking that we should do a chip sales for this year to raise a bit more profit (so we can do more volunteering field trips and fun stuff). We could also do a potluck at the end of the year if everyone brings something (low-cost)? How would we get the money to buy the chips (Rodolfo?). Send us your ideas below.

- Fundraise by selling at school events/after school/twice a year chip sales.
- Foudners fundraise before the school year.
- An activity (examples below “-”) day at an elementary (eisenhower said yes) where we can do things based on the sciences or the arts to teach young students. Further information on these events would be provided on our website (to-be-made) soon. Can we walk to nearby school instead of paying for a bus? (Busses go under the unaccounted losses section on slide 7.)
- Experiments, games, storytime, skits. We could split into groups and run the activities in different classrooms, chaperones needed.
- Make children’s videos (experiments, skits, etc.) to help teach what elementary/middle students are currently learning. Ask the elementary school to tell us what to teach in the video, then send the video to them. We could rotate people in the videos.
- Host an annual elementary book-writing competition (Eisenhower and Doig said yes). Students would make (i.e. canva, google slides) and submit their stories online. What would the prizes be, should we do prizes in different categories/areas? Officers would narrow results then the club would vote. What would we do with the non-winning books (ex. Turn some into video books, put them on our website, post them, second chance revision competition).
- Website purchased using IONOS WordPress (not much more than google sites would cost with all fees for much more customization and features). Website comes with @ascentclub.org emails for board members (5).
- Finish website creation (: ascentclub.org
- Fundraise for ourselves to go somewhere for fun, (rent a movie theater, beach, etcetera). End of year potluck. Club shirts.
